Thanks Tricia!!

We went over to Tricia's house last week for a bbq. Stacie and Linds were there and we ended up making these! Tricia taught us how and they turned out great! It was easier than I thought and a lot of fun. The flash reflected right in the middle, so it looks like they are staring at the flash. But you all know what picture this is. I want to make some again. So who ever wants one, grab your stuff and come on over!

A Moose!

Farley and I went to Tabiona this weekend and on our way back as we were coming through Provo Canyon we both looked over to the side of the road at the same time and there was a moose! So we flipped around and went to take some pictures! It is a pretty good sized moose and really calm, not spooked at all. We were only like 10 yards away from it. Kinda scary to be that close to a moose!

School...

School starts tomorrow and I'm really excited! Farley starts his LAST CLASS in one week and will finish college in December! Hopefully that means we will be in Utah Valley only until next summer! That is less than a year!!! How exciting is that!???!?!?!!!

Back to Life!

So we got back from Blanding a couple days ago and it was sad to leave. On Saturday night after Duncan and Candice's reception, we had a hot dog roast. Devan and Tiff brought Cash and we had a lot of fun. But while we were sitting around the fire, Sadie (Shirley's dog) kept chasing all the toads. They were everywhere!!! One time Sadie chased a toad and it ran through the side fire pit but made it out. Then about 30 minutes later, Sadie was still chasing the toad and it ran through the pit again and hopped right into the fire!! Everyone tried to hurry and get it out. It tried to hop out but the toad could only rock back and forth. Watching it was so sad. It started to cook and the toad's tongue started swelling up and it looked like it had a mini apple in it. I was disgusted and sad at the same time. The toad burned to a crisp. Shirley called last night and said she found the burnt toad in Sadie's dog house.

San Juan County Fair

We are in Blanding and it is County Fair time! Woo-Hoo! I love county fairs!!! We went to the concert last night and Charlie Jenkins opened for Darryl Worley. My opinion is that Charlie out did Darryl. I was very impressed. I am a little biased though cause Charlie Jenkins is from Roosevelt and us Basin people have to stick together. Oh, and Charlie sang to us like 7 years ago for a fireside in Tabiona. Anyway, it was great!!

Breaking Dawn

Camping!!!

On Friday night we went camping with Turk, Steph, Jens, Patricia, and Baylor. We went up Diamond Fork Canyon and I was impressed by how pretty it was up there. It was so much fun! We had dutch oven potatoes and bbq chicken for dinner and amazing cinnamon pancakes, eggs, and bacon for breakfast! The food was very yummy!! The only downside to our little camping experience was that we forgot firewood. So we searched the area and developed a few alternatives, but they didn't really work. Oh well, it was still a lot of fun.

Okay, so we found these huge absolutely disgusting beetles that were about 3 inches long! Yes, 3 inches. The gatorade cap in the picture above is from one of those big gatorade bottles. We were sitting there talking and we kept hearing a noise. Finally someone went to investigate and this is what was found.

So they guys played with it of course and it was so strong! Finally they put it in the big gatorade bottle and left it there. But then they found another one and it started all over again...
It was really creepy looking! And I felt like I had bugs all over me all night.

This is Jens cooking the most amazing pancakes ever!! They were cinnamon pancakes and so so so so good. Jens, I need the recipe :)

Farley was dead set on going fishing in the river. We only had out ice fishing poles though. But that didn't stop him and Steph from trying!
