Questions...

So I'm looking at car seats and I need input. What have you all bought? Do you like the only infant car seats or the convertible car seats that can be rear or front facing?

hey, so my sister bought one that converts to front and then a booster and it sat waaay to straight up so the baby was a little ball and they ended up having to buy a seperate infant carseat. we had an infant one and then bought cash a front facing when he was almost a year old, that seems to work best. good luck!

Buy the infant one so you can carry them in it in grocery carts and things as long as possible and then buy a convertible when they get bigger. That will go forwards and backwards.

Dito to what Tiff and Kara said! We bought the infant one so I could carry her places in it, which was nice! Then bought a convertible one when she was almost a year that could go front or back. The convertible that I bought sits way up straight. There are some that can recline, but be ready to pay big bucks for them if you are wanting one. Plus, this baby will have to be in a carseat until they are 6 I think, and you will have another baby before then, so you'll have to get another carseat anyway. I say get an infant one, then the convertible later. It worked great for us. Good luck choosing! Graco is a good brand. I can't believe how close you are!!

I would have to say infant kind because when they are asleep its nice to just be able to cart them around everywhere. I guess that's what everyone else said too. :)

I would also say buy the infant one. That way when they are asleep you do have to take them out. Also, when you are looking for one find one that fits on a stroller. You will use it more than you think.

How exciting! You are getting so close. Amary and I are so happy for you!
About the car seats, for a newborn the infant ones are the only way to go. When our boy was a baby he reached 20 lbs before he was a year old, so the convertible one was perfect for him when he was around 10 months. 20 lbs is too big for an infant seat, but he still had to be rear facing until he was one year old. I did not need a convertible one for my girls, we just used a front facing.

I agree with everyone else. The carrier seat is very convenient. Graco is a great brand. This is a good site: www.carseatdata.org It even lets you see what brands fit best in your car.

Good luck!

I'd say buy the infant one, because you don't want to have to take them out of the carseat every time you stop. It's just much easier! Good luck!
