Back to Life!
So we got back from Blanding a couple days ago and it was sad to leave. On Saturday night after Duncan and Candice's reception, we had a hot dog roast. Devan and Tiff brought Cash and we had a lot of fun. But while we were sitting around the fire, Sadie (Shirley's dog) kept chasing all the toads. They were everywhere!!! One time Sadie chased a toad and it ran through the side fire pit but made it out. Then about 30 minutes later, Sadie was still chasing the toad and it ran through the pit again and hopped right into the fire!! Everyone tried to hurry and get it out. It tried to hop out but the toad could only rock back and forth. Watching it was so sad. It started to cook and the toad's tongue started swelling up and it looked like it had a mini apple in it. I was disgusted and sad at the same time. The toad burned to a crisp. Shirley called last night and said she found the burnt toad in Sadie's dog house.

How sad... that is pretty funny at the same time though. Glad you had a great time in Blanding. Have you started teaching again?
hahahahahahahaha. That is so funny Sadie rounded up the freaking toad the next day!!!
That's hilarious!! You really don't see toads anywhere else but in that area too. I probably would have disected the frog after it crispified. I"m gross like that I guess! Have you gone back to school yet? Um....for the strawberry delight look on my recipe blog for it. It's kinda long, but easy I promise! You'll love it!
LOL! That is CRAZY!! Don't tell my little boys, they will start looking for toads to put in fires.
